TOFO
MOZAMBIQUE
HUMPBACK WHALES, MANTA RAYS, WHALE SHARKS AND DOLPHINS ALL IN A 12 KM STRIP OF COAST LINE
PRAIA DO TOFO
Tofo Beach is a small, friendly beach town in the province of Inhambane, situated in the southern part of the Mozambican channel. A true unexplored gem on the east coast of Africa. Due to its location, it allows for a frequent upwelling of nutrient water filled with plankton.
This upwelling in turn attracts an abundant marine life - but more notably filter-feeding megafauna all year round!

WHAT SPECIES CAN YOU ENCOUNTER?
Tofo is probably one of the only places where you will find that not one time of the year is better than the other. With year round encounters of whalesharks, manta rays, dolphins, turtles and so much more, it is hard to pick a favourite.
A GoFreedive favourite is July-October when The Gentle Giants, humpback whales, visit Tofo.
